Dinner…quite impossible

Ok, so we’ve been watching the new season of Dinner Impossible on Food TV and well, I think Chef Symon is good and all and I know he’s an Iron Chef, but perhaps he should stay on that show. I know that there was that scandal going on with Chef Robert Irvine exxagerating a little bit on his resume, but honestly, I really loved that man on that show. I think Robert Irvine is quite the talent. Chef Symon is cool and all but I just think the original format of the show is just not right. Of course, this could be because Chef Irvine was first and the “original” host. What do you think?

Hi, I’m a genius

Okay, so this is one of the best mac vs. pc commercials ever. I totally love the end of commercial where it’s “off the air” lol!

My instinct says…

So I’ve been really considering getting a Samsung Instinct. I can get it cheaper than normal (about 130 bucks) but of course I’d have to renew my Sprint contract another year. For those of you who have one or know who has one, what do you think? Is it worth it? I mean honestly my current phone does everything I need now, I mean, it’s a phone, but is the Instinct that much cooler and does it actually work well?

Of course, this brings me to another point of should we switch carriers? Sprint so far has been pretty good and since me and Meesh are both sprint, all calls between us are free. And any sprint user is free. Although I have to say we only know a few people who are using Sprint/Nextel. Does anyone have other carriers to recommend? And don’t bother recommeding T-mobile.

My savior x3!

Ok, so today I was just trying to remember and figure out which of the igoogle themes was the “madness” hamsters. Searching for hamsters in themes just didn’t cut it. I couldn’t find it. After talking to ocB about it she actually found it here. I forgot it was really part of the Edward Monkton artist theme. The only reason I couldn’t remember it was because the hamsters was only one part of the theme. So savior x1 to ocB!

Then, I was trying to put plime.com to the front page of my google and I couldn’t add the freaking atom feed. But I couldn’t find the RSS 2.0 feed either. (obviously I’m lazy and I wasn’t looking hard enough.) But wait, ocB to the rescue! She IMed me the RSS 2.0 URL! So savior x2 to ocB!

Finally we all know all awesome things come in threes. And I asked Danalyn what I should eat for dinner tomorrow. She was no help but she made me hungry by telling me that they had fried rice. Hmm sounds good. But it just wasn’t enough for me. Again ocB to the rescue, she told me what she had for dinner. Bacon Spaghetti. Say what? I’ve never had this. So cook up some bacon, break it up into bacon bits, saute it with some cooked spaghetti noodles, add some olive oil, some garlic (4 or 5 cloves), and Parmesan cheese! You can even add some cherry tomatoes. So savior x3 to ocB! (and kudos to Danalyn for the fried rice because she made me hungry)

And that’s pretty much a few hours with me today. How was your day?

My Top Ten

Ok since Pandora did this list and she got it from Sodapop and I noticed Lucy doing it too you know I have to make my list now of the Top Ten Women. Yes, this is a list of my top 10 dream wives/girlfriends. I just want everyone to know that it’s quite a shallow list. Please bear with it. Also they’re not in any particular order. And of course we all know that Meesh trumps all these women as my true dream wife.

Lucy Liu 1. Lucy Liu - I’ve always been a great fan of Lucy. I loved her on Ally McBeal and since then fell in love.

Jessica Biel 2. Jessica Biel - Ever since I saw Jessica in Blade Trinity, I thought she was the best thing to happen to vampires. She’s totally bad ass!

Cameron Diaz 3. Cameron Diaz - Ever since I saw her in Charlie’s Angels I totally knew I loved her. And watching her with the underoos, that was too funny!

4. Drew Barrymore - How can you not love this woman? She’s so cute it’s crazy!

5. Jennifer Aniston - There should be no explanation necessary here.

6. Jessica Alba - I’ve loved her since I first saw her in the show Dark Angel. I knew she’d be something else someday!

7. Monica Belluci - Ever since I saw her in Matrix Reloaded, she definitely charmed me. How can you not love this woman?

8. Angelina Jolie - Really? seriously? Do I have to explain? seriously.

9. Jennifer Esposito - Remember a long time ago on Spin City when Jennifer Esposito was on there as the secretary to Mike? Yeah.

10. Anne Hathaway - She was great recently in Get Smart. And what else is cool? She has the same birthday as me. Granted, she’s much, much younger. But still.

Damn this weather

Damn it’s hot. I just wanted everyone to know that we’re in record breaking highs for Washington State. And this heat needs to stop already. We don’t even have central AC. We’re not supposed to need it here!

Things happen

So I didn’t forget about the contest that I had going on. Unfortunately life happens and we must move on. But I didn’t forget about it! Here’s a list of those who participated:

Feel free to keep submitting yours! Remember that I have 2 MP3 players to win! Yes it can be a post you’ve already made. As long as it’s your most embarrassing moment. (Or one of them!) I’ll stop taking entries after the 26th of August (Free for all Friday) and announce winners a week later!

Bom chicka wah wah

I think I just have to love some of the Axe commercials out there, and especially all the “bom chicka wah wah” ones. But of all of them I think I like the one with the father visiting America for the first time. I know this one is old, but it popped in my head when I put on my Axe deodorant today. Video after the bump.

Updated: a bulleted post

Since I like to make things into lists here is what we’ve (and by we I mean Meesh and I) been up to:

  • We saw Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. It was pretty good, I’d love to check out the IMAX version.
  • We saw Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Yeah it was OK. Nothing major really. I think they could have left it at the Scorpion King. I mean it was like watching Temple of Doom. Yeah that horrible. It was a shame to have Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh in it.
  • I’m finally driving again. It feels really weird, especially since I haven’t really driven in almost a month. I guess it would also be weird since I’m “different” in strength.
  • We’re going to a wedding this weekend. Should be lots of fun. :D If they have alcohol maybe I’ll even have a drink.
  • Rehab is ongoing. Probably for the rest of my life, since it’s gotta be part of my daily routine. It’s pretty horrible having to stick to something so strict.

I think that’s it for now. I’m still alive and doing well, doing great for someone who had a stroke. Now all that’s left is whether I am a candidate for a kidney transplant. Since I’m working at about 40%, I’m pretty sure I can use one. If you wanna be a donor, I warn you, you’d have to come here and do a lot of things and even then it’s not that simple.
